Al Badayer Retreat - dreaming of 1.001 nights

Aktualisiert: 23. Mai 2022

Less than an hour from the busy city of Dubai, there is a small desert paradise that tempts you to relax and dream. We spent 3 days at Al Badayer Retreat and had a wonderful time.

The Mysk Al Badayer Retreat is a 5* hotel near Al Madam in the Emirate of Sharjah and was opened only a few years ago. The hotel complex consists of many small houses in which the respective hotel rooms are located. Alternatively, you can also book a suite with a private pool.

The hotel staff is remarkably helpful and 24/7 eager to help the hotel guests wherever needed. The hotel rooms are insanely beautiful and exude an oriental flair, like the entire complex does.

Especially during the evening hours, when the warm sun bathes the hotel complex in a wonderful light, magical moments can be experienced. In the hotel's own restaurant you can enjoy a 4-course dinner. For breakfast you can enjoy a hot and cold buffet.

During the day, the hotel offers many different activities. For example, you can take trips into the desert, go archery, book a private barbecue dinner or attend a falcon show, which we highly recommend. It was such a great experience to see those fascinating animals up close.

Al Badayer Retreat can be also recommended for families. Table tennis, volleyball court, bicycle rental or a joint outdoor movie night are just some of many opportunities that are offered daily.

You can also relax at the hotel pool, go to the gym or relax at the spa area. The spa area will open in Q2 2022, which is why we couldn't test it yet, but it will include a hammam, a nail salon and a hair dresser.

For our visit to Al Badayer Retreat we rented a car, which we would also recommend. If you want to make an excursion on your own, we can recommend the "Ghost Town" near Al Madam. It is an abandoned desert village, which is more and more taken over by the sand and therefore offers a mystical sight.

Everything about the Ghost Town and how to get there you can find in our article "Ghost town Dubai - the abandoned city in Al Madam".
