Heading to the iconic Tre Cime di Lavaredo? Buckle up for an unforgettable journey through the breathtaking Dolomite landscape! Here's your ultimate guide to arrival and parking:


Route Options


The Tre Cime di Lavaredo is easily accessible from various locations. A popular route leads through Toblach. From there, take the SS51 towards Cortina d'Ampezzo. After about 30 kilometers, you'll reach Fischleintal, the starting point for hikes to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Another option is driving from Innichen through the Höhlensteintal, offering spectacular views and perfect for nature enthusiasts.


Parking Facilities


For visitors arriving by car, parking is available at Fischleintal. There's a paid parking lot, well signposted for your convenience. Arriving early is advisable to secure a spot as spaces are limited. Alternatively, hop on the free shuttle bus that regularly runs between Toblach and Fischleintal.


You can also drive directly to the parking lot at the Auronzo Hut:


Please note: The access road is a toll road, costing €30 for cars and €45 for motorhomes. Remember that toll payment can be made either in cash or by debit card. After paying, you can park your car for free in the public parking lot in front of the Auronzo Hut and start your hike from there.

2. The Circular Hike around the Tre Cime di Lavaredo: A Journey Through Dolomite Majesty


Embark on an unparalleled adventure with a circular hike around the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, captivating hikers and nature enthusiasts alike. The majestic Dolomites provide a breathtaking backdrop for this unique tour, offering not only grand vistas but also an immersive experience of the diverse alpine landscape.


Route Description: Circular Hike Around the Tre Cime di Lavaredo


Starting from the large parking lot at Rifugio Auronzo (Auronzo Hut), a flat path leads beneath the south walls of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, passing by the Cappella degli Alpini, to Rifugio Lavaredo (2,344 m).


Here, you'll enjoy views across the Ansiei Valley to the solitary Marmarole Group, while the peaks of the Cadini di Misurina Group stand proudly in the south.

Continuing on to Paternsattel (2,454 m), you'll be greeted by the awe-inspiring sight of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo.


The path then descends slightly before ascending again towards the Drei-Zinnen-Hütte (Three Peaks Hut) at 2,405 meters, offering views of the west wall of Paternkofel (2,744 m). Near the refuge, you'll spot the daring rock sculpture known as the "Frankfurter Würstl." As you reach Toblinger Riedl, you'll catch a glimpse of the famous "Sextner Sonnenuhr" (Sexten Sundial) peaks: Rotwand, Elfer, Zwölfer, and Einser.


The trail winds down to Rienzboden, then passes in front of the north walls of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, crossing the Lange Alm.


Passing by the ponds near Col Forcellina (2,232 m), you'll ascend to a grassy ridge, offering one last magnificent view of the stone monument. From there, head over to Col de Mezo (2,324 m), with views of Cadini, Sorapìs, and Cristallo, before returning to Rifugio Auronzo.
